Started reading this book in last June but life intervened and I had to put it aside. Am now getting back into it and I see Python is up to at least version 3.4. Does the author still recommend starting with 2.7? It seems most info about Python now on the web is 3.0+

Biggest reason HWA hasn’t been updated to Python 3.0 is because I don’t have time to do so at the moment. :( That said, the stuff that HWA goes over is largely the same for Python 2.7 and 3.0 (I suspect there may be a change for the registration chapter since I use an outside plugin but otherwise everything should be similar). But again, haven’t had the time to focus on reviewing the changes and rewriting the book. Hopefully in early 2017 I will! :)
