Can I follow along the book with my own project instead?

Hey guys,

I would like to know if it’s possible to follow along the instructions but with my own project instead so that I can be finished with it by the time I’m finished with the book.

I want to do this so that I can finish more quickly. My objective is to finish my website ASAP because I am under a very tight deadline.

If so, do you have any tips for doing that effectively?

Or do I have to go through the book, and then go back through it again once more with my own website?

I would recommend to follow along the book for at least once because lots of time you will get stuck and would have to debug. By following along the book, you will have some reference. But if you work on your own project and get stuck, it sometimes is demotivating and people leave in the middle. I guess you should be able to complete the book in a day or two though.
